In recent years (2004-2008), rare earth permanent magnet materials in China is still in the steady development trend continuously, the permanent magnetic materials production, application and sales volume is still among the highest in the world. In respects of rare earth metal main raw material in production, production technology, application field and market trade, we obtained the achievement and development of large. At present, China has become the center for the development of production, application and market of global rare earth permanent magnetic materials, the development will be faster and better, the future is still promising!
According to the statistics, five years' total production of rare earth permanent magnet materials in China (2004-2008) (including sintered NdFeB, bonded NdFeB and SmCo) is 203490t, (sintered NdFeB accounted for 93.86%, bonded NdFeB accounted for 5.06%, SmCo accounted for 1.08%). Compared to the previous 5 years' (1990-2003) 46627t total production ( sintered NdFeB 90.89%, bonded NdFeB accounted for 7.36%, SmCo accounted for 1.75%), the growth is 36.42%. This fully shows that the rare earth permanent magnet materials in China is in the rapid development with the rapid development of social economy! The future will maintain this situation!
